A Bit More Info - There is a coat rack in the foyer and the bathroom is located at the end of the hall just to the left of the kitchen.  It is customary to remove your shoes before entering the meditation hall. Enter the meditation hall quietly about five minutes before the session starts so as to be ready and not disturb yourself with a rushed late arrival. Do yourself a favour and leave home ten minutes earlier :-)
It is traditional to bow to the alter, your cushion, then across the hall to the other members  when you enter, then sit on a cushion, bench or chair facing the wall. The bow in Zen is not symbolic of subservience and although it is a greeting, it is not simply a substitute for a hand shake. It is simply and profoundly an ackowledgement that your Original Nature and the Original Nature of other, is shared.
